Ahh, politics. The reality of the Sotomayor hearings is that there is very little real "advise and consent" and a lot of theater for both sides.Where does politics enter into all this? The Democrats now have 60 votes in the Senate and any Democrat who opposes his President's choice here will have hell to pay later, so Sotomayor's confirmation is assured.
