Mike Huckabee is my personal preference, but I have thought from the very beginning that Joe Lieberman would be the guy. Their personal relationship and loyalty will probably be far more important then any strategic political considerations. I think Huckabee can be very helpful in the South and Midwest - traditional red states were Obama did very well in the primaries, but I think personal loyalty may be more important. Lieberman has supported McCain from the very beginning of the campaign, and you want a VP who you can get along with in the White House.

I don't think it's likely, but the only way McCain could possibly win this election is by selecting Condi Rice. That would instantly make the election interesting again. Otherwise, it's an Obama romp.
