Aharon HaCohen's Political Thought of the Moment: The only day that really matters in this whole election campaign is November 4th. All the rest is mere talk and speculation, but it doesnt count for anything.

Aharon HaCohen's Political Thought of the Moment: It makes no sense to have an even number of electoral votes - which would allow for a hypothetical tie of 269-269. Just another illogical thing about this system.

Aharon HaCohen's Political Thought of the Moment: The fact that Palin's daughter happens to be pregnant has absolutely nothing to do with the elections. So I hope the Democrats don't try to make an issue out of it, but I have a feeling they will.

Aharon HaCohen's Political Thought of the Moment: "I am not sure people are being honest in the polls when they say the economy matter most. Most people don't vote on issues , and emotionally-charged issues like Iraq or abortion are more central."

Aharon HaCohen's Political Thought of the Moment: "Most Americans are far more interested in the Olympics then the US elections at the moment...but this may be a good thing since US success at the Games will unite this country far more than politics"

Aharon HaCohen posted a prediction: "Mike Huckabee is my personal preference, but I have thought from the very beginning that Joe Lieberman would be the guy. Their personal relationship and loyalty will probably be far more important then any strategic political considerations. I think Huckabee can be very helpful in the South and Midwest - traditional red states were Obama did very well in the primaries, but I think personal loyalty may be more important. Lieberman has supported McCain from the very beginning of the campaign, and you want a VP who you can get along with in the White House."
